From South Africa to Nigeria and Ghana, African movies with women as leads have become the favorite for many. So, we have made a list for you to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
African Movies With Women As Leads – When Love Comes Around

She wants to date only very rich guys, and possibly a royal. Someone has to pay for her expensive lifestyle.
But that person is not the chef who she will later-on find herself in love with. It is one of those movie cliches where she is trapped and forced to give up on her former belief about love.

This is a typical African movie about women who find themselves in an environment where being unmarried at 34 is regarded as a problem. Everyone tries to pitch into a girl’s life to offer help. But not for Isoken – her life is perfect, but her family doesn’t think so. Her mum launches a matchmaking plan for her daughter to meet Osaze – a handsome and successful guy.
But Isoken meets Kevin, a Caucasian, and chooses him instead because she sees what she truly needs in a partner. The movie touches all aspects of cultural and racial stereotypes and brings families together in the most emotive ways.
