AFRIFF eSports tournament and a new focus on animation

AFRIFF begins its 2021 event with an eSports tournament.

The Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF in its 10th year in 2021 continues to focus on building a content house that will be accessible worldwide.

To achieve this, it needs to pull together a workforce that comprises both creative and skilful people.

The AFRIFF event is loaded with workshops, masterclasses and interactive sessions that will produce will the next generation of filmmakers in Africa.

AFRIFF organisers have said that the event is focusing more on the animation industry for 2021. Accoring to Chioma Ude, AFRIFF founder, this year it is sourcing for the best in animation from all over Africa.

More so, for the first time, AFRIFF is screening animations and games in an event that commenced with a gaming championship.

AFRIFF 2021 the gaming tournament is offering N500, 000 cash to four winners.

The biggest cash prize, N200 000 goes to first place, N150, 000 goes to second place, N100, 000 to third place and N50, 000 to fourth place.

The championship will hold its grand finale on November 10, at Filmhouse.
