Beyoncé and African Singers

Beyoncé is Soon Becoming Synonymous to ‘The Lion King’

Beyoncé has once again enchanted the world with one of her many intriguing performances which also includes her new album with African singers. For the 2019 ‘The Lion King’ remake, she voiced Nala and performed some of the film’s soundtracks. ‘The Lion King’ presented her yet another possibility to achieve her goals of capturing attention from the entire world. It is also not surprising that she is stealing the show because she is the emperor of legendary acts.

‘The Lion King’ Tracks

Though her footprints are drawn all over ‘The Lion King’, we still like to remember that she only came on board for the 2019 remake. We still like to recollect that the 1994 film was a blast not only because of the story but mostly because of the music and Beyoncé was not in it.

‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ originally by Elton John won the award for Best Original Song at the 1994 Academy Awards. The song was in nomination with ‘Circle of Life’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’. ’The Lion King’ had so much influence on the world before Beyoncé joined the cast or performed any songs for the film. But she seems to be having more influence on the 2019 remake.

During the last week, both the 1994 and 2019 albums have surged by 50% on Spotify as reported by Variety. ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ which Beyoncé performs with Donald Glover is also on the top. They make the song sound entirely new again. ‘Spirit’ which is an original song in the remake follows on the list of top streamed songs. Every other song topping the chart on Spotify is somehow linked to Beyoncé. ‘Mood 4 Eva,’ and ‘Brown Skin Girl’ which were in ‘The Gift’ album where Beyoncé collaborated with African singers are also among the top songs on Spotify.
