Marvel’s comic movie Black Widow is showing in 59 locations around Nigeria and distributed by FilmOne. In its first week in theatres around Nigeria, Black Widow has grossed over N27 million ($657, 73).
On Disney Plus, Black Widow debuted with $60 million, in theatres in the United States where it is still running, it has grossed over $80 million.
Nigeria’s FilmOne had signed a deal with Walt Disney in 2020 to distribute films from the American studio giant in Africa. Black Widow, among, others like Curella, Luca, Raya and the Last Dragon, In the heights have been released in the theatre in Nigeria in 2020.

Black Widows description reads: “In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises.

It is so far Nigeria’s highest-grossing movie in 2021 with N636 million gross. The highest-grossing movie in Nigeria’s box office and Nollywood in 2020 is Sugar Rush at N286 million.
