Chadwick Boseman Movies On Netflix
The rave of the Black Panther movie, which features Chadwick Boseman as a legendary black hero didn’t go away the entire 2018 when it was released in theatres.
This alone scores as a great fulfilment of purpose, as he inspired millions of young people especially in the black communities around the world with his character, T’challa.
Black Panther is not on Netflix, but there are two other legendary movies that star Chadwick Boseman on the platform.
Aside from his screen personality, there’s so much that could be said in remembrance of a majestic loss like him. Boseman led a life of purpose, a topic which he covered during his speech at Howard University, his alma mater, in 2018 and one he will be remembered for.
In his speech, Chadwick Boseman said: “Purpose is the essential element of you. It is the reason you are on the planet at this particular time in history. Your very existence is wrapped up in the things you are here to fulfil”. After the speech, many people began that day of graduation to think about purpose!
Boseman died of colon cancer at 43 on August 28, 2020, and no one was prepared for that. But he left a gift which is his style of giving meaning to real-life and fictional heroic characters on screen.
It was his desire to give life to legendary black figures like Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, and James Brown. Purpose, responsibility and understanding were smeared all over these roles. In years to come, these films will serve as a tribute to him over and over again.

‘Da 5 Bloods’ (2020) – This is a movie about African-American war Veterans which stars Chadwick Boseman as a squad leader. ‘Da 5 Bloods’ is available on Netflix.
’42’ – Chadwick Boseman plays of two great men, Jackie Robinson alongside Harrison Ford who plays Brooklyn Dodgers GM Branch Rickey. The bravery of these two legendary figures against prejudice stuck and paved the way in the game of baseball today.
