Nollywood actor Browny Igboegwu and wife Becky have welcomed their first baby after ten years of marriage.
Ten years is a long time to wait for a baby even for couples who make the decision to wait. But don’t tell that to those who were patient for 20 years and more because that would be mocking their strength.
However, the depravity in people stops them from supporting couples in difficulties like Browny Igboegwu and his wife.
The Nollywood actor who just announced the arrival of his baby with his wife of ten years has said that he was told to get a new wife. The advisers rolled out the age factor as a defence to their depravity. “Get another wife time no dey, age is no longer on her side”. They did not stop there. The actor was also told to impregnate a girl outside his marriage on purpose.
These people sound like they want to help when they say “how long will you wait” just before adding “adopt a child”.
The typical Nigerian setting represents a girl who hasn’t conceived in one year after marriage as a perverse. Comments flow from every corner suggesting she done something dangerous to damage her uterus which affecting conception. Igboegwu and his wife had both good and bad comments from different sets of people. But nothing seems to be greater than his joy for sticking with his wife.
