The virtues of Hollywood is going around in Nollywood. Another Nollywood actor, Joseph Benjamin, has been assigned a role in the religious American television drama series “Greenleaf”.
The talented Nigerian actor who is notable for delivering roles gracefully has been in many quality Nollywood films. Most people remember him for his role in “Mr and Mrs”, as well as in “Tango With Me”. Others might remember him as the former host of a talent reality show, MTN Project Fame. He has also appeared in “Isoken” and “Murder at Prime Suites”. The TV series “Greenleaf” is created by Craig Wright and it is characterized by scandals, secrets and lies. It portrays the unethical standard of life that the Greenleaf family has.
Oprah Winfrey is the executive producer alongside Lionsgate Television. Actors featuring in the drama series include Keith David, Lynn Whitfield, Merle Dandridge, Amman Rucjer and Kim Hawthorne, with whom Joseph Benjamin appears to have played his first role. Joseph Benjamin’s character in the TV drama is “Mr Joseph Obi”, the new accountant to the Greenleaf family.
The drama series has been running on the Oprah Winfrey Network since its premiere on June 21, 2016. Joseph Benjamin went on to express his joy in a long statement on his Instagram page. In addition to the statement, he also shared a clip from the drama series.
