Meet the two Nigerian actors who have quickly shifted from being upcoming stars to full-blown actors. They have been on the screen for a while now, but lately, they have been beating even the most popular Nigerian actors on screen. They are knocking them off gradually and will overtake them in no time. They have also been incredibly productive, appearing in at least 5-7 movies in 2018. Not many Nigerian actors can match that number this year. Before the year runs out, they will be on the cast list of at least 10 movies. Given the rising number of Nigerian actors daily, they haven’t done badly in acquiring these many roles in one year.
Bimbo Ademoye
Bimbo Ademoye is the actress that most people know from the movie “Where Talent Lies” directed by Lani Aisida. Over the years, she has also become known for more movies. For a young actress, she has been nominated for an impressive amount of awards, though she doesn’t yet have many wins on her shelf. But the 26-year-old’s acting career is just getting started. Bimbo Ademoye has appeared in more 2018 movies than most other rising actors. Some of the movies she featured in include:

Frederick Leonard
Actors like Emeka Ike and Ramsey Nouah were predecessors to every lead actor in romantic Nigerian movies. However, Frederick Leonard who surfaced some years ago has snatched a lot of these roles away from them. Many may remember him from “Web of Love”, and his career got a real boost after that performance. Frederick is no longer on the list of rising actors. He has suddenly passed into being an icon in Nollywood. Many credit his getting to the top to his good looks, but he is arguably also talented. His nominations and awards help underpin this point. He featured in more movies than most other male actors in 2018, including:
