Sola Sobowale Netflix Movies

Since Netflix launched in Nigeria in 2016, most of the Nigerian movies added yearly feature a mix of actors. Seems like the actors in these movies also tend to increase in popularity. Sola Sobowale has appeared in more Nigerian movies on Netflix than other actors.

While compelling to specific roles like the mean housewife or an infamous mother figure, she sometimes appears in comedy flicks. Sola Sobowale is that one actor that features in movies and you instantly have a reason to watch them.

‘King of Boys’ – 2019

Sola Sobowale’s character Eniola was intricate to the ‘King of Boys’ plot. The entire movie would fall apart if her character isn’t interesting. Eniola embodies the virtues and evils of the street.

‘The Wedding Party’ 1 & 2 – 2016 & 2018

In all the novice Nigerian movies on Netflix, we like to settle for those that Sola Sobowale appears in. ‘The Wedding Party’ 1&2 falls between two different categories of Nigerian movies, good and bad. The first part of the movie became the highest-grossing movie of the year which automatically qualified it for a second part.

Though that had nothing to do with Sola Sobowale who plays the mother of the bride in the movie. However, thanks to her it takes nothing for Sola Sobowale to transform a good movie into great entertainment.

‘Crazy people’ – 2018

So ‘Crazy People’ was a dumb movie with a lot of stupid cameos where a poster of a different Ramsey Nouah’s film ‘My Wife and I’ is used to describe an event. We just take it that they lacked some props in that movie.

As complicated as the movie is though, Sola Sobowale’s role is one of the easiest ones to understand. She plays the mother of a mentally ill boy. Afterall the best Nigerian actors have a number of bad movies they have appeared in.

‘Seven and a Half Dates’ – 2018

Unsurprisingly, when Sola Sobowale finds herself playing the role of a mother who has a wedding to prepare, she rules the entire movie. Being a good mother is part of the natural talents one must have to play a role like Sola Sobowale in ‘Seven and a Half Dates’.

‘Wives on Strike: The Revolution’ – 2017

This movie comprises of a lot of angry characters. Those hyperactive roles which Sola Sobowale plays well just fit here naturally. She is the women’s leader who wishes she could take back her marriage vows.
