Many will not imagine a story about the Passion of Christ, the disciples of Christ and similar biblical account to come out of Nollywood. Moreso, many will disregard it or even brand such movie not good enough. But there is a feeling Tchidi Chikere’s new movie ‘Our Jesus Story’ is going to change that for Nollywood.
Religious Nollywood movies have gone wrong sometimes and other times they have made little impact. Tchidi Chikere founded his filmmaking ethics on the mystery genre and stayed on it is. He is in fact, the ideal director for ‘Our Jesus Story’, because what’s a Jesus Story without mystery?
‘Our Jesus Story’ will be in cinemas March 27. This easter and pascal season it is going to be Nollywood to the world for all lovers of the Jesus story. ‘Our Jesus Story’ features a huge Nollywood cast including Zack Orji and who doesn’t like to watch a movie where this veteran features? A mix of energy from Andy Chukwu and Sam Dede is going to make any movie an instant classic.
