Timeline Of All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) And Legend Award Winners

All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, a celebratory event for African singers is building its fact table yearly. We want to be able to look back in a few years and find a record of things that make us proud of the black continent. We have collected a few facts here which we thought might be of interest to you.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has two divisions namely the Continental and Regional divisions.

Under the Continental Division, they have categories that reward African hip hop, electro and inspirational artists as well as every other music genre.

African artistes within their specific region of origin all fall under the Regional Division.

The AFRIMA Legends Awards

The past winners of the Legends Award category of AFRIMA are our all-time best category. Its creation favours African music icons who receive honours for their special lifetime achievements through the category. It is not open to the public to vote. The African Union, International Committee of AFRIMA and the AFRIMA Jury jointly determine the winner.
