Any time spent watching Naija movies this week should probably be on the new Nollywood titles licenced to be on Netflix this week.

These are Nollywood movies recently licensed to be on Netflix between July 20th and July 29th.

‘Meet the In-laws’

Genre: Comedy

Director: Niyi Akinmolayan

Cast: Dayo Amusa, Lillian Esoro, Amaechi Monoagor, Nedu, Kenneth Okolie, Tina Mba, Niyi Johnson and Judith Audu

It is probably not new anymore that inter-tribal marriages in Nigeria carry prejudice with it. It is the first time ‘Meet the In-laws’ is added on Netflix. It’s as well a contemporary story as it is epic but the couple always prevails.

‘The Letter Readers’

Genre: Family drama

Director: Sibusiso Khuzwayo

Cast: Andile Gumbi, Bahle Mashinini, Nokuthula Mazibuko

This family drama coming to Netflix Naija is set in a Kwazulu Natal village, South Africa. They are often very engaging for many Naija audience.

‘The Letter Readers’ is the story of a young boy who has to get away from his parents while they resolve their marriage.

He finds a hobby reading and could stay happy with his new hobby until he had to read a sad letter to a lady he likes. He worries about what it could do to her, he makes a new decision.

‘Signs’

Genre: Sci-fi

Director: M. Night Shyamalan

Cast: Joaquine Phonenix, Mel Gibson

This sci-fi isn’t just about mysterious phenomenons but also about family. ‘Signs’ successful hooks all its viewers and sometimes leads them to repeat the movie.
