American singer and Golden Globe 2020 nominee Beyonce is onto humanitarian work again, this time for End SARS protesters in Nigeria.
The singer set up the fundraiser has partnered with the Feminist Coalition to support the End SARS movement. The donation channel is on Beyonce.com. The fundraiser has grown over N74 million so far and N40 million already given away to End SARS protesters.
Many End SARS protesters do not agree with Beyonce on the fundraiser saying that Nigeria is hungry for justice, not food. In earnest, the singer could be missing the point.
However, the fundraiser could also help a lot and should be appreciated as it covers expenses for not only food and water.
The fund also covers the costs of masks, first-aid kits & first responders, bail, hospital, logistics, legal aid for arrested protesters.

End SARS News
End SARS movement took off exactly two weeks ago today with youths in several states in Nigeria protesting police brutality.
The Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) which protesters demanded be disbanded was a police unit that killed and violated human rights at will. During the protest, more people have been killed by soldiers who indiscriminately opened fire.
The End SARS movement got uglier yesterday when the Nigerian army released shots on protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos. Several people were killed in what they call a massacre and more are in the hospital.
The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was at the hospital to visit injured protesters. He said the government will bring offenders to justice.
