A new edition of the Cookout Africa is fixed and will host dozens of songwriters from West Africa (Anglophone).

For May 2021, songwriters in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, The Gambia and Sierra Leone are welcome to register.

The event promises an immersive and collaborative songwriting experience.

Register here https://intrafricantradefair.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_b-CMKVxOR6GqBieOfVzwtQ to join on Tuesday 18 May at 18:00 WAT.

In a virtual meeting that will hold on May 18, 2021, Vincent Berry will have an interactive songwriting session with registered and approved creatives.

Participating songwriters will have the opportunity to create a song in real-time, contributing lyrics to locally created beats through a truly collaborative process (creatively & legally).

They will share their songwriting knowledge in the Vincent Berry masterclass writing artistic songs, teaming up to learn and practice.

All participants will receive an official certificate of participation and Berry will put the music out for commercial prospects afterwards.

About Cookout Africa 2021

The Cookout Africa is a music creating series with official Goodwill Ambassador Vincent Berry II. It is just one part of an ongoing virtual programme that aims to build a transformative way to engage, educate and encourage creatives globally to collaborate.

This collaboration with CANEX will enable the creative industry of the future to continue to produce fresh, conscious and emotionally available content in a sustainable and cutting-edge manner.

Cookout Africa is an element of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2021) which is organised by The African Export-Import Bank, Afreximbank, and the African Union, AU.

The creative industry in Africa is one of the major focuses of the IATF2021 event. It aims to see the continent maintain fresh, lively with culturally significant products while infusing contemporary ideas.

Cookout Africa hopes to promote team building and collaboration as a way to awaken African songwriters of their own creativity.

Registration for Cookout Africa is free and is open to all upcoming and professional songwriters in Western Africa (Anglophone) on May 18.

Follow-up editions of The Cookout Africa 2021 will roll out for the other regions of Africa.

The June edition will focus on Francophone Eastern, Central & Western Africa, while the July edition will focus on Northern Africa.
