The music-themed Nollywood drama, ‘Lara and the Beat’ which features Seyi Shay and Somkele Iyamah as sisters is now available on Netflix. The film was way above the expectations in 2018 and its release gave new relevance to Nollywood and the movies it makes having received a number of positive reviews.
‘Lara and the Beat’ was an official selection at the Nollywood Week film festival in Paris in 2018 and is directed by Tosin Coker. It stars Seyi Shay, Vector, Somkele Iyamah, Chioma Chukwuka, Wale Ojo, Shaffy Bello, Sharon Ooja, Chinedu Ikedieze, and Uche Jombo star in the film. The film premiered in the cinema in Nigeria on July 8, 2018.
