A new feature film with the title ‘The Legend of Inikpi’ is coming to the theatre. ‘The Legend of Inikpi’ is the first feature production of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson. It is a legend that relates to the people of Igala and Bini wherein it is set and the teaser mentions its portrayal of Kogi tales.
A fight spurs between the two kingdoms and war is close but the King of Igala Kingdom is battling with early despair. The ghosts of his past haunt him but a human sacrifice demanded by the idols isn’t an option for him.

Frank Rajah Arase is the director of ‘The Legend of Inikpi’ and it features Mercy Johnson among its cast. It also stars Sam Dede, Odunlade Adekola, Paul Obazele and Saheed Balogun.
Silverbird Film Distribution is the distributor of ‘The Legend of Inikpi’ which will have a theatrically release in January 2020.
