A new movie, Kpali, recounting the life of Nigerian immigrants in search of better lives is coming to cinemas December 20. There are a new trailer and posters for the upcoming movie. Vzhun Films, a Nigerian production company, in collaboration with Genesis Deluxe Distribution (GDD) announced the new movie. They also released the posters and trailer for ‘Kpali’ which features Nkem Owoh as Mr Kalavor meeting the husband of his immigrant daughter. See the trailer below:
Ladi Johnson is the director of ‘Kpali’. The film stars Linda Ejiofor, Ini Dima-Okojie, Kunle Remi and Gloria Anozie-Young.
‘Kpali’ takes place in the world of immigrant Nigerians. It revolves around an adult Nigerian woman Amaka who lives and work in London. She gets to survive the downsizing season at the investment bank where she works on one condition. She has to win a big account with a Lagos-based, Nigerian company.
Her work visa is about to expire and she has 30 Days to wrap up the deal or lose both work and her life in London.
‘Kpali’ is generally recognized in Nigerian pop culture as a term for passport or certificates and applied the same way in the movie.
