Tania and her 13 years old son Ivan lives in Belgium illegally and fear deportation. So Tania tries to be tricky with her identity. With the help of a mobster, she gets false papers. She is later arrested and put in detention where she meets an African woman who advises her not to reveal her true identity. She is concerned for her son who fled when she was arrested and fears he will be drawn into dirty deals. Tania is desperate to see him again and finds no other options but to take someone else’s identity. After getting out, she is beaten to an unconscious state and ends up in a hospital. There she finally gets the chance to escape.

    ‘Le Havre’

    He is awakened by the indifference of humanity but faces it with courage when the police come calling for the boy. To avoid having him deported, kind neighbors help hide him from the police.
