Netflix continues to pile up on Nollywood films and on its next movie list is the 2017 dramedy by Oluseyi ‘Asurf’ Amuwa ‘Hakkunde’.
The movie is his first feature after several short films including ‘A Day With Death’. He is also the first one to challenge filmmakers on a much-avoided topic in Nigeria, same-sex relationships, in his short film ‘Hell or High Waters’.
‘Hakkunde’ screened in several film festivals across the world.
In ‘Hakkunde’ a fresh university graduate with no job has to give himself approvable identity in his community. The director looks at the possibility of making progress with the pressure of the world on one’s shoulders.
‘Hakkunde’ is coming to Netflix and it stars Frank Donga, Toyin Aimakhu and a number of Nollywood movie stars. They all contributed to making this movie a masterpiece.
