The complexity of film business and festivals in 2020 grew with every day. Most film industries and key film players settled for the virtual practice when several options were presented by the lockdowns.
There were too many risks with open public film festivals, which left a number of them with the options to either postpone or cancel.
Those who settled for the former still have an option to fix dates in December but, for the later, they will come back in 2021.

However, all options laid out for film festivals are volatile, more festivals and film fairs could happen before the end of the year.
Nollywood members can consider submitting their films and getting a marketing spot in some of these film festivals. Unlike those that are closed or restricted to countries and members, it may be possible to get passage into one of these in December.
Film Across Borders – Washington DC
Highlights for the virtual Film Acrros Borders, 2020: Waad Al-Kateab and Edward Watts’ “For Sama,” Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing,” and National Geographic’s “Last Wild Places: The Americas.
The Film Across Borders is virtual for the first tie in six years. It began in October and will last throughout December 2020.
GuadaLAjara Film Festival – Los Angeles
Guadalajara Film Festival 2020 celebrate Latin Americans and is completely online in 2020. We will provide more information if the film festival is open to other countries. GuadaLAjara Film Festival begins December 17-19, 2020.
Whistler Film Festival – Whistle, British Columbia
Screenings for the 20th edition of the Whistlers Film festival is both online and in-person. There will also be an industry content summit and market-inspired skill projects.
