The list of Big Brother Naija seasonal winners is getting longer. In a few months, there’s going to be a new addition to this list to make it five in all. Before season 5 returns, here are some of the trivia and facts from Big Brother Naija that you shouldn’t miss. That is aside from the obvious fact that all three middle winners of the Big Brother Naija have first names starting with an “M”.
There have now been five seasons of Big Brother Naija so far starting from the first which aired in 2006. The list is as follows:
Katung Aduwak was the winner of the first Big Brother Naija season which ran from March 5 to June 4 2006. This season had one of the fewest numbers of housemates, 14 but had one of the longest days 92. For accuracy and precision, the auditing company of Alexander-Forbes vetted the voting result of this season.
Michael Efe Ejeba won the second version of the Big Brother Naija which took another 11 years to come back. It was with this season that the organisers decided to create a header for each season. The second season was titled “See Gobbe”. The show lasted 77 days with 14 contestants.
Miracle Igbokwe wore the winning crown for the third season of Big Brother Naija with housemates that jumped from 14 to 20. “Pepper Dem” housemates were paired and were nominated as pairs until about the 7th week when individual nominations began.
Mercy Eke was announced the winner of Big Brother season 4 after 96 days in the house. This included one day of squabble with co-housemate Natcha Akide “Tacha”. Eke survived disqualification but Tacha wasn’t so lucky. Housemates functioned in groups at the beginning of the show and did tasks as groups. Losing put all members of a group up for eviction.
Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe became the winner of the season Big Brother Naija tagged the Lockdown. He took home the ₦30 million cash prize as well as other grand prizes totalling ₦85million.
Big Brother Season Naija 6 Winner…?
Big Brother Naija season 6 ended on Ocbter 3 2021, with 6 last contestants standing as Hazel “Whitemoney” Oyeye Onou was announced the winner.
Whitemoney is leaving the big brother house with a grand prize of N90m which includes N30m cash prize, cash in Abeg digital wallet, bitcoins courtesy Patricia, two-bedroom apartment courtesy RevolutionPlus Property, range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors and a trip for two packaged by Travelbeta.
