Who’s the Boss Nigerian Movie – Both Mild and Shrewd

‘Who’s the Boss’ is a mild Nigerian romantic comedy with so much drama that swells throughout the movie. It is set against the backdrop of the millennial women in Nigeria.

Sharon Ooja stars as a young woman Liah navigating life with a set of people including her boss, her best friend and secret partner. Funke Akindele plays Hauwa her oppressive boss.

Sharon Ooja’s lead act as Liah encourages mildness to a point in the film until she changes her cool with her boss. If you want to know how to spend your lockdown, a good Nigerian movie like ‘Who’s the Boss’ is one way to do that.

Who’s the Boss, Liah or Hauwa?

There are a number of provocative women dramas that dates back years in Nollywood. They all trail the vile societal norm and plunges into the sad world of women in Nigeria. ‘Who’s the Boss’ is barely one of them.

New director Chinaza Onuzo tells a story of an overtasked woman’s elevation in her field following the abuse of her toxic boss. The film then offers just a little mental insight into the abuse halfway and what becomes Liah’s leverage.

Liah crosses her boss to devise a supervisor, Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu) to head a side business which is to remain a secret to her boss.

Though it seems brutal of Liahs, this will give her a big break and out of it will come a fancy deal.

The acting in ‘Who’s the Boss’ is all great and artistic. Its subject matter is revealed with an eloquent signature infused in the ambience.
