The Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, honours the best film talents in several categories every year since 2005. However, some categories like in the AMAA 2022, become saturated and competitive.
Actors and films tie in several categories leaving the wins to only the best.
AMAA 2022 night will be similar in all ways to the previous awards nights with York-Fabian Raabe taking the lead in the nominations as did “Borga”, his feature film debut.
“Borga” is an independent film about the fake-rich presentation of Africans living abroad. The struggle to have a reputable appearance and earn respect is the central issue of the film and as the name “Borga” describes.
“Borga” has been successful since its release and might be on its way to even bigger recognition after the AMAA 2022 night.
