Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2019 – Homecoming Gala

The award season is indeed an amazing season in the entertainment industries in Africa. The organizers of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have officially kicked off the chain of events to honour the best African TV and movie stars of 2019. Here is a guide to the events which will run within the next few months.

The 2019 Africa Movie Academy Awards season opened with a workshop and training program in Enugu. A number of recognizable faces of Nollywood, including Chidimma and Chidiebere Aneke, were in attendance. Jim Jermanok, a former ICM agent, was present to speak to the over 200 participants.

Following that, the organisers held a Homecoming Gala to celebrate the eastern stars. Tonight, a number of AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria) members, cast and crew, gathered to honours stars who emerged from the east. With actors like Ofia-Afuluagu Mbaka and Patience Ozokwor leading the group, it was everything to see.

The next location on the Africa Movie Academy Awards 2019 schedule is Accra and Atlanta while the grand finale takes place in Lagos. Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) from Akwa Ibom and Uyo were also present at tonight’s events. Now we can’t wait for the rest of the season to unwind. More photos:
