‘Kandasamys: The Wedding’ – South Africa
‘Kandansamy: The Wedding’ is a South African movie set around Indian weddings. The movies had a prequel, ‘Keeping up with the Kandansamys’ which was a hit in South Africa in 2017. ‘Kandansamy: The Wedding’ is highly rated by critics and is named one of the best African movies of 2019 on Wikipedia.
‘Knuckle City’ – South Africa
Set in a small South African town, Mdantsane. Nyakama, the film’s main character hopes to find a better life on the boxing platform of the town. ‘Knuckle City’ is selected as the South African entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards.
