Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot says the hatred on social media must stop
The member of the Lagos state house of assembly had been at the top of defending the youths during the End SARS protest.
He said that if the SARS unit which was set up to protect the people fail, and they are asking for it to be disbanded, then it should be. He also condemned the October 20 Lekki killings which claimed several lives.
The aftermath of the End SARS protest has a different effect on the actor who appears to have a new resolve.

The actor said certain things need to be addressed in the country – the Nigerian youths and social media and influencers. Without that, there would be no Nigeria in five years.
He reinforces his case by saying that almost all narratives today comes from social media. The actor said that Nigerians appear like a joke which is a negative impact of social media.
In reference to the October 20 killings, ‘I could not believe what I saw on the comment sections, children cursíng’, he said.
All the killings and looting were also done by the youths, pregnant women went into malls and stole. Something needs to be done now to change this narrative.
Desmond Elliot further condemns the stealing of the OBAs staff of office saying it is uncustomary and bereaves the country of culture.
He finishes his statement, saying that Nigerians have the means to change the government if they wanted to. It is also constitutional.
