However, as an essential part of the economy, the filmmaking sector needs to wake up and renew all jobs and contracts lost during the lockdowns by making new movies and TV shows.
The actor’s guild of Nigeria is considering portable safety protocols for actors and the cinemas are already practising extreme measures. But designing these approaches to meet the safety concerns of everyone is a huge challenge and would come at a price for everyone.
Whatever form it takes, the safety measure could drain the flexibility and enthusiasm of the cast and crew since interactions are often motivating.
