How would new safety measures affect the price of Nollywood movies in 2020?
Nollywood has mostly taken things slowly since the lockdown was relaxed in Nigeria, but the time to speed things up is now. A bunch of overwhelmed End SARS protesters have taken over the streets and could use some relaxation more than ever.
It is more decent to either stay at home or join the protesters, rather than return to movie locations, or the theatres now.

However, as an essential part of the economy, the filmmaking sector needs to wake up and renew all jobs and contracts lost during the lockdowns by making new movies and TV shows.
The actor’s guild of Nigeria is considering portable safety protocols for actors and the cinemas are already practising extreme measures. But designing these approaches to meet the safety concerns of everyone is a huge challenge and would come at a price for everyone.
Whatever form it takes, the safety measure could drain the flexibility and enthusiasm of the cast and crew since interactions are often motivating.

As it is COVID tests is almost as certain as the use of masks and temperature checks. A test returning positive could put an entire production on hold which is why the guild needs to take safety measures very seriously.
While expecting normalcy soon, Nollywood will have to get real with some new changes but also filmgoers:
Work mode for everyone will see some restructuring. The camera, makeup and stylists crews would need more working space to keep up with social distancing and this could cost a lot more money. Hence the price of going to watch Nollywood movies could hike as well.
