A bunch of kids in Nigeria called the ‘Ikorodu Bois’ who mimic top personalities and film trailers and share on Instagram are upping the mimicry entertainment. The ‘Ikorodu Bois’ recreated all scenes seen on the trailer of ‘Extraction’ a 2020 film which was released on Netflix. Chris Hemsworth is the lead actor in ‘Extraction’.
In the video, the kids put themselves in the characters of the ‘Extraction’ stars as both videos play out on a split-screen. The upper half of the screen has the original and the trailer by the Ikorodu Bois is at the bottom.
Chris Hemsworth reshared the ‘Extraction’ trailer remake by the ‘Ikorodu Bois’ to his over 40 million followers. He applauded the kids for what they did. At least 3 million people have viewed the video on Instagram.
Who are the ‘Ikorodu Bois’?
‘Ikorodu Bois’ are film buffs and creatives who mostly mimic for fun. They have over 66 thousand followers on Instagram. These kids use cheap materials to create props and costumes when they create mimicry which is what they did with the guns used for the ‘Extraction’ trailer remake. The group chose the town they live in Lagos state Nigeria to create the name ‘Ikorodu Bois’.
The kids specifically asked for the video to be retweeted until Chris Hemsworth and Netflix see it. Apparently they were trying to get the attention of the actor more than anyone else. However, the Russo Brothers’ is now offering to get them to the premiers of ‘Extraction 2’.
As of this morning, the Instagram handle of the Ikorodu Bois had about 66 thousand followers and in less than 24 hours is above 77 000.

‘Extraction’ is an action movie which was released on Netflix during the pandemic. A sequel was proposed in May.
