Katakata – What would it be?
Nigerian filmmaker Newton Barabara has engaged a U.S studio, Stage 32 in the production of his new movie, “Katakata.”
The film which was Newton’s design was initiated with a different concept before his meeting with some filmmakers in the U.S – Arthur O. Thomas and Kevin Shand.
The team worked on the expansion of the story from Nigeria, England, and the United States of America before settling on the title and new concept for “Katakata”.
Arthur O. Thomas is a digital content creator and founder of Main Man Films.
Kevin Shand is the former Colorado Film Commissioner and founder of Pedras Productions.
Newton Barabara Studios LTD is the producer of “Katakata’. The film is a co-production of U.S.-based Main Man Films and Pedras Productions.
“Katakata” was also written and directed by Newton Barabara.
The collaboration was successful despite the team being miles apart, through video chatting platforms

“Katakata” centres around these topics and was shot on location in Enugu where Newton Barabara Studios LTD is based in.
