Rita Dominic stars in the new movie “Light in the Dark” alongside Kalu Ikeagwu. Domestic violence, an unaddressed social issue, is the themes of the movie. The drama especially addresses the audience on how such situations can be handled by the women affected by it.
The friction that exists in inter-tribal marriages is also visited. This issue is with mostly from the man’s perspective in the movie.
Too many married African women suffer from domestic violence, and very few seem to be able to fight it. The makers of “Light in the Dark” hope that it will serve as a tool to bring awareness to African women. Rita Dominic shared the trailer of the movie on her Twitter account. “Light in the Dark” will be released in Nigerian cinemas on January 25th.
Also featuring in “Light in the Dark” are Joke Silva, Ngozi Nwosu, Saidi Balogun, Kiki Omeili, Nonso Odogwu, Abimbola Ademoye, Big Mickey, Prince Unigwe, Angel Onyinyechi Unigwe, Doddy Abili, Richard Kanayo Mekwunye, Maxwell Ihuoma, and Marie Awolaja.
