New movies make it to the cinema every other week in Nigeria. This has also added to the trend that is driving Nollywood and many other African movie industries. Check out these 4 Nigerian movie trailers from this week. These movies will be at cinemas soon.
‘Muna’
We were a little bit skeptical about how this movie will tell its story. The synopsis tells us that it is about a girl who turns into a cold-blooded assassin from a painful past. After seeing the trailer which was released a few days ago, however, we are more confident it will be a great movie, despite our drama actress playing a Samurai assassin. You will understand more if you see the trailer we have added below. No release date for ‘Muna‘ has been announced yet.
‘Mad About You’
The trailer of this Nigerian movie has us itching to see Annie Idibia and Chinyere Wilfred in their new roles. The movie looks like another wedding and family drama from the trailer. If this is it, then it might not be a very original storyline. However, coming from Film One, we look forward to an incredibly fine story. It comes to cinema 7th June.
‘The Bling Lagosians’
Like most Nigerian movie trailers, this one doesn’t give away too much. But many viewers will appreciate the parade of flamboyance in exotic locations by the upper class – not too different than what was seen in ‘The Wedding Party’. ‘The Bling Lagosians’ comes to cinemas June 26.
‘Love is Yellow’
They have made a cute title for this movie and there’s already a lot we like about the trailer. Obviously, it is going to be nice seeing Bimbo Ademoye and Timini Egbuson in the movie. There is no release date yet for ‘Love is Yellow’.
