There is no telling what the best ways to watch movies are. Everyone has their preferences when it comes to comfort, relaxation and entertainment. Netflix or other streaming services will surely not offer the cinematic benefit of watching movies in the cinemas. But there are many reasons to chose otherwise.
The cheap options for watching movies in Nigeria
Certain people don’t enjoy being in crowded places or even around loud sound systems. Also, people like to save money. A regular movie ticket costs between 1000 to 2000 Naira depending on the theatre.
However, the cheapest streaming services that offer movies in Nigeria cost about 3000 Naira per month. Netflix, Demand Africa, Amazon Prime and iROKOTV offer streaming services in Nigeria. That amount can get anyone lots of movies on these services.
Film festivals and premieres have also become a way to watch movies for free these days.
The control option
Someone who has a burst of hysterical laughter will get embarrassed from laughing in crowded places. This option allows people to have control and do other things in between watching movies at home. Pause whenever there is a need to and go to the bathroom without missing a scene. Also, the food allowed inside the theatre is limited to popcorn and soda.
If you need experience
At the very least going to the cinema to watch movies is a social exercise, but has its downside. Aside from the cinematic delight, sitting next to a person who’s texting and distracting could ruin the entire experience. This is almost unavoidable as the seat numbers are issued to viewers.
