Nollywood has no rating system for its movies and hardly considers film rating a thing to propel growth and quality. But IMDB lists a number of Nollywood movies as most popular and this status has made them some of the most viewed globally.
IMDB list of popular Nollywood movies contains some of the best but it also contains not so good movies. They either got to the most popular list either for a good universal story or for good marketing.
Though many people do not agree with the IMDB rating of Nollywood movies, as many of these films have never been on Netflix or Demand Africa or Amazon. But the list is still the most accurate you will find.
There are 50 films on the list which can be sorted either by popularity or by IMDB rating and each gives different results. By popularity the list looks like this:

Obi Emelonye’s ‘Last Flight to Abuja’ tops the list by popularity. But sorting the films by IMDB rating will give a different result as ‘The Meeting’ takes the top spot with 8.6 and 11 votes to it.
