To get in the mood for the new series ‘Aiyetoro Town’, it is important to not think about why the next episode of ‘Oga Pastor’ didn’t air. Fans of ‘Oga Pastor’ can take comfort in new SceneOne series ‘Aiyetoro Town’.
Turns the series which was themed around infidelity by clerics had been cancelled. Apparently, NdaniTV erased it without explanation to viewers.
‘Aiyetoro Town’ is the new alternative
Why mourn Oga Pastor when Funke Akindele has brought back the favourite Jenifa. This time, Jenifa is seen in the town of ‘Aiyetoro’ where she grew up. The series is a spin-off Jenifa’s Diary.
In Aiyetoro Town, Jenifa walks viewers through her lowly beginning. Baale, a character from ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ also shows up in the first episode of the series. He apparently has been travelling around the world and is keen to transform Aiyetoro village.
Aside from Baale, Aiyetoro Town reintroduces many of the lead characters in the first episode including Laide (Motunrayo Adegboye) and Waidi (Tope Adebayo).
The first few episodes are just as exciting as the entire Jenifa franchise. But so far, everyone is directing their energy to Baale and his plans after his meeting with the councilmen. How will his plans go? Will he succeed in eliminating vernacular from Aiyetoro Town?
