Every writer understands the importance of being in a subtle environment as it is a proponent of focus.

A lack of focus is a major issue for writers but it doesn’t have to be if they are able to apply the rules of writing.

Among these rules include having focus and creating a good focus for the story.

Focus in both context guides both the writer(s) and the readers. Focus for a writer is the ability to concentrate and finish a story without glitches.

With the slightest distraction, most writers’ think about abandoning their stories which is much easier than focus. A story is no good to anyone incomplete and there are ways to manage this kind of focus and complete a story.

The other aspect of focus is necessary for the readers. When a writer loses the focus of a story, the reader also loses the point, theme and main idea.

Holding onto a particular point means having a clear idea of what you are writing and how to deliver it correctly. A story without supporting details will confuse readers.

Both kinds of focus apply to scriptwriting in Nollywood and hence, is a drag on movies . The scripts are in many cases the problem, not the actor’ or production.
